New Blogger Feed Sort Order

I was creating a Google gadget that displays a feed from one of my New Blogger blogs and realized the order of the feed seemed wrong. The problem was that post where sorted by update instead of the date published. If I updated an old post it would mess up the order.

What did I do? Googel to the rescue. I looked for a solution and found lots of people going through great lengths just to fix this problem. All you need to do is add "?orderby=published" to the end of your feed.

It's that simple. Works like a charm.

3 Column Blogger Template Blogger-Yolk, Hundreds of Downloads!

I know, I know I'm bragging. Since January 22, when I first uploaded the template there have been hundreds of downloads. To some projects that number is nothing but to me it's pretty cool. I'm pleased people are digging it and I get lots of nice emails and comments. If you have some sort of talent, I strongly recommend creating a project ( maybe GPL ) and giving back to a community who has given us so much. It just feels good. People like Linus Torvalds, Richard Stallman must feel overwhelming joy knowing their contributions have literally changed the world in a positive way.

Blogger template Blogger-Yolk over 100 downloads!

There have been over 100 downloads and who knows how many subversion checkouts of the Blogger-Yolk Blogger template! Why is this exciting? I am glad it is successful. By successful I mean people are using it, I have no complaints and I'm getting some positive feedback.
